Description: This course introduces students to fundamental principles underlying the management of physical assets in modern energy value chains, which are in the midst of the ongoing transition toward net zero emissions. The emphasis in on understanding in a rigorous, quantitative, experiential, and practical fashion how costs, capacity constraints, and market or technical risks affect operational decisions, in particular both investments in new capacity or technology and their management once installed or adopted.
