Description: This course considers how borders are created and maintained through economics, politics, and culture. Students will explore different representations of border crossings—real and fictional—as well as crossing the borders between analytic and descriptive writing. Ultimately, the class focuses on developing a critical framework for investigating contemporary cross-border issues.
