Description: UNIV 003 IS A PLACEHOLDER FOR UNIV 330: Medical Exploration and Observership. The UNIV 330 course is designed for currently enrolled undergraduate students to gain exposure to the medical setting and develop professional skills, while earning course credit. The purpose is to allow you to explore careers in the health professions through exposure to medical shadowing and the healthcare industry. To register for UNIV 330, students must complete two steps by 5:00pm on Friday April 8th in order to be considered for the roster: add UNIV 003 Preregistration and complete the course application at https://bit.ly/330f22. If selected for the roster, you will be required to register for UNIV 330 and drop UNIV 003 from your schedule prior to the start of the semester through ESTHER. Space is limited and registration for UNIV 003 does not guarantee a seat in UNIV 330. UNIV 330 contains both a lecture component and a shadowing component. The lectures take place Mondays/Wednesdays from 2:30pm-3:45pm. Shadowing blocks are assigned based on physician and student availability, and will take place once a week for 3.5 hours on Monday-Thursday mornings/afternoons. Repeatable for Credit.
