Description: This course examines how the global flow of knowledge, people, and things transforms China, and how China as a socioeconomic actor impacts the world. It mobilizes “translation” as a conceptual groundwork making possible social, cultural, and political communications. Class material primarily covers contemporary scholarship of China in humanistic social sciences.
