Description: Why have film directors been drawn to criminal investigations and the search for justice since cinema's early years? This course examines films that represent court trials, investigate crimes and seek truth across different cultures over the last 100 years. Graduate students will write a 20-page research paper. Cross-list: HART 389. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for HART 589 if student has credit for HART 389.
