Description: This course will cover the history of the family and key theoretical and empirical debates about family formation, stability, and dissolution. Ultimately, we will seek to answer the question: is the American family in decline? Cross-list: SOCI 438. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for SOCI 538 if student has credit for SOCI 438.
