Description: Data sampling, aliasing, discrete Fourier transform, digital filter design techniques, z-transform, and discrete Hilbert transform are introduced. Deconvolution, velocity filters, polarization filter, stacking, beam forming and migration techniques will be taught together with their application in geophysical studies. Cross-list: EEPS 650. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for EEPS 450 if student has credit for EEPS 650/ESCI 440/ESCI 640.
