Description: This course will teach programming and analysis techniques essential for modern research in the biological sciences. Students will learn the basics of programming in the MATLAB or Python scripting languages and applications to analyzing biological data. There will be a particular focus on quantitative image and sequence analysis. Cross-list: BIOS 570. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for BIOS 470 if student has credit for BIOS 570.
