Description: Electrochemical materials, energy, and methods The course emphasizes the principles of electrochemical devices including batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, and electrochemical sensors. Topics will emphasize the latest trends and challenges in the chemistry, materials, and physics involved in the materials design, electrochemical measurements, and characterization of these devices as well as the thermodynamics and kinetics related to different electrode processes at the macroscopic and microscopic levels.
