Description: This course aims to familiarize the student with the ethical nature of business and with corporate responsibility issues in business environments, making them aware of the critical social and environmental issues that organizations confront in an era where social impact at the bottom line is extremely valued from a costumer and stakeholder perspective. We will examine numerous corporate initiatives and measuring frameworks that attempt to address these challenges as well as how they are being evaluated in the public eye. We will study the increased measurement and due diligence processes on natural resource sourcing, environmental and climate change controls, monitoring ethical supply chains, and human rights compliance, in order to scrutinize the so–called sustainability strategies of corporations.
