Drawing on examples in housing, health, education, public policy, and urban studies, students will learn how to apply spatial concepts and methods to study the geographic distribution of social phenomena, the spatial organization of communities, and the relationship between society and the environment. Cross-list: SOCI 460. Recommended Prerequisite(s): The course uses R software for spatial data management and analysis.
