Description: Focused discussion of the history and methods of the study of religion via close readings of classical texts and narratives of the field from 1800-1900. Graduate course will require reading of more books and a longer paper to write. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for RELI 527 if student has credit for RELI 427.
