Description: This course will introduce students to analysis of sub-regional structural and stratigraphic frameworks. We will utilize the interpretation of 2D seismic profiles to reconstruct basin history and discuss implications for petroleum systems. Students will gain an understanding of a variety of structural and stratigraphic styles, as expressed on seismic data. Cross-list: ESCI 426. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ESCI 626 if student has credit for ESCI 426.
