Description: This course provides an overview of the way archaeologists study space, place and landscape, including studies that emphasize ecological, symbolic, political economic and religious aspects. Recent theoretical work on space, place and landscape will be emphasized, as well as archaeological methods of investigation and interpretation, including remote sensing, surveying, and GIS. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ANTH 355 if student has credit for ANTH 555.
