Description: An investigation of how the perception of the Bible changed from antiquity to the 21st century. The course is structured chronologically. A close reading of the works of major thinkers from each period, together with specific examples of biblical exegesis. Graduate students will have one extra reading assignment per week and complete a 14-15 page paper. Cross-list: RELI 318. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for RELI 518 if student has credit for RELI 318.
