Description: An introduction to the literature of the region known as "Cono Sur." Often considered the national literature of Argentina and Uruguay, the "gaucho literature" encompasses a wide variety of texts, from traditional ballads to novels, plays and poetry. Recommended Prerequisite(s): SPAN 303 or SPAN 321 or SPAN 322.
