Description: This FWIS explores humanity’s fascination with pushing our bodies beyond their limits. We’ll specifically explore how Western culture depicts high-risk athletic endeavors – like mountaineering and ultrarunning – and the individuals who perform the, historically and in the present, by examining concepts for articulating limitlessness: transcendence, endurance, freedom, and the sublime.
