Description: In this class we will examine the relationship between racial identity, nativity, and health status. Through readings and class discussion we will examine how racial identity and generational status shape health-related resources, stressors, behaviors, and supports. We will also consider how these factors relate to health care access and use. Cross-list: SOCI 553. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for SOCI 453 if student has credit for SOCI 553.
