Description: Analyzing educational inequality in the U.S. using concepts of educational equality and inequality and analysis of the factors that shape schooling outcomes. Addressing the role of students, families, neighborhoods, schools, school organizations and teachers. Special topics: education of immigrants, school segregation, accountability, higher education and the future of educational inequality. Cross-list: SOCI 537.
