Description: Continuation of CHIN 141, for students whose home language is not Chinese. Development of interactional competence in Chinese, (sociolinguistic and socio cultural knowledge) to communicate and interact with speakers of Chinese. The course is based on a student-centered, critical-thinking approach to language analysis/acquisition. Effective May 15, 2019, this course does not carry D1 credit. Recommended Prerequisite(s): CHIN 101 or CHIN 141 or CHIN 222 or Placement Test.
