Description: Studies of experts and expert knowledge have recently become one of the most vibrant and promising areas of research in social-cultural anthropology today. This seminar reviews recent anthropological research on experts and their cultures of expertise and situates it in comparison to theoretical, sociological an historical engagements of expert cultures.
