Description: A study of the somatic and autonomic nervous system control of biological systems. Simulation methods, as well as, techniques common to linear and nonlinear control theory are used. Also included is an introduction to sensors and instrumentation techniques. Examples are taken from the cardiovascular, respiratory, and visual systems. Additional coursework required beyond the undergraduate course requirements. Cross-list: ELEC 482, BIOE 482, ELEC 582. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for BIOE 582 if student has credit for BIOE 482.
