Description: What happens when religious beliefs and values fundamentally alter, or call into question, dominant Western cultural norms? Conversely, what happens when dominant Western cultural norms fundamentally challenge deeply held religious beliefs? This writing-intensive course will explore these questions using examples drawn from Europe, the United States, and Africa.
