Description: An introductory course intended to provide the student with an overview of the elements of drug discover, design and development. Targets for drug discovery will be discussed, as well as considerations of drug optimization with respect to the biological target and drug metabolism. A summary of the FDA and patent processes will also be included.Undergraduates may register for the course by filling out a special registration form. These forms can be brought to DBH 243 for processing.
