Description: BIOC 111 introduces fundamental methods and standard practices in biosciences laboratories. In this goal-driven course, students work in teams to complete short investigative projects. Course is offered both halves of each semester. This course is recommended for students with very limited practical laboratory experience. Students wishing to take this course must have a pre-lab examination score on file with the Registrar; see the course URL for instructions. In the fall, BIOC 111 sections in the second half of the semester are restricted to new matrics only. Credit may not be earned for both BIOC 111 and BIOC 112. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for BIOC 111 if student has credit for BIOC 112.
