Description: Using the Scientific Teaching Approach, this course will teach teachers how to use active learning to engage students and provide teachers with in depth conceptual knowledge about biological fundamentals. This course will include hands-on-activities and discussions about biological concepts that include enzymes, mitosis and meiosis, genetics, biotechnology, natural selection and evolution. Connection themes in biology and will be highlighted throughout the course. Recommended Prerequisite: BIOC 520. Instructor permission required.
