Description: A detailed development and analysis of topics in energy modeling. Topics include optimal extraction of depletable resources, models of storable energy commodities, energy demand by end-use sector, models of non-competitive behavior, energy security and the relationship between energy and commodity prices. ECON 547 requires an additional assignment in addition to the assignments of ECON 447. Cross-list: ECON 447, ECON 604. Recommended Prerequisite(s): ECON 477 or ECON 401. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ECON 547 if student has credit for ECON 447/ECON 604.
