Description: Analyzes aggregate performance of the national economy including output, inflation, interest rates, employment, the business cycle, monetary and fiscal policy, and more generally the appropriate role of government in influencing aggregate economic performance. Introduces both the traditional aggregative only approach to Macroeconomics and the more recent New Classical and New Keynesian micro-foundations approaches. Cross-list: ECON 203.
