Description: The public’s expectations and its trust of law enforcement in America are varied and wide. It may depend on race, age, social economic status, geography and personal experiences. This course will examine conditions and issues that erode public trust as well as strategies that foster trust. Topics examined will include police use of force; citizen’s constitutional rights; racial profiling; and community policing.
