Description: This seminar will examine the history and significance of Pop art by looking in detail at three or four primary figures associated with the term; likely subjects include Andy Warhol, Gerhard Richter, Ed Ruscha, Richard Hamilton, and others. Visits to local museum collections and attention to theoretical writings on art and mass culture are planned. Cross-list: HART 607.
