Description: Survey of the history and culture of the Arab world from World War I to the present. Topics include nationalism, colonialism, modern secular and Islamist politics and the "Arab Spring." Credit may not be received for both HIST 278 and HIST 378. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for HIST 278 if student has credit for HIST 378.
