Description: Offers undergraduate and graduate students insight into the public life of writing with particular attention to academic and literary publishing, editing, and presenting. Sessions organized around topics in these areas and visits with experts (agents, editors, authors, presenters, etc.) with experience in publishing, and creating series, festivals, and other forms of presentation. Meets 3 times per semester, helps develop internship possibilities for participants, and develop strategies for increasing the presentation of public writing at Rice. Cross-list: HURC 606. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for HURC 406 if student has credit for HURC 606. Repeatable for Credit.
