Description: This course will cover Bayesian methods for analyzing data. The emphasis will be on applied data analysis rather than theoretical development. We will consider a variety of models, including linear regression, hierarchical models, and models for categorical data. Computational methods will be emphasized. STAT 622 will have more advanced assignments and examinations focusing on theoretical methods. Cross-list: STAT 422. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for STAT 622 if student has credit for STAT 422.
