Description: Philosophical ethics argues over the proper criteria of the definition and the assessment of ethical action. This course focuses on an emerging and increasingly salient anthropological project: empirical inquiry into the themes and variations of ethical systems and the sociocultural rationale for their existence and reproduction. Cross-list: ANTH 349. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ANTH 549 if student has credit for ANTH 349.
