Description: Introducing the Tibetan alphabet and basics of grammar and Tibetan literary genres. Topics vary; Buddhist literature and art, personal narrative, core cultural characteristics. Readings in English and Tibetan. RELI 531: write a paper approximately one-third longer than the undergraduate equivalent (RELI 233) and complete a more substantial presentation. Cross-list: RELI 233, TIBT 233. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for RELI 502 if student has credit for RELI 233.
