Description: Continuation of CHIN 142, for students whose home language is not Chinese. Development of interactional competence in Chinese, (sociolinguistic and socio cultural knowledge) to communicate and interact with speakers of Chinese. The course is based on a student-centered, critical-thinking approach to language analysis/acquisition. Recommended Prerequisite(s): CHIN 102 or CHIN 142 or Placement Test. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for CHIN 263 if student has credit for CHIN 201.
