Description: This course aims to cover basic topics in photoluminescence spectroscopy such as instrumentation, different photoluminescent species, solvent relaxation, photoluminescence quenching, energy transfer and anisotropy. Novel applications of photoluminescence spectroscopy such as sensing, multiphoton excitation and the fluorescence of proteins will also be discussed.
