Description: This course reviews the written and oral English skills needed by visiting international students to succeed in upper-division courses at Rice. Students will learn to express ideas effectively in individual and group conversations; to give academic presentations; to critique, report, and interpret research findings in writing; and to become better self-editors of their writing.
