Description: Seminar will provide understanding of intertwined relationship between gender and politics in contemporary Middle East and North Africa. Will focus on the region’s historical, soci-political, and cultural contexts that have contributed to the current discourse on gender in the Arab World. Will explore the role of Arab women in the political processes across the Middle East. Concrete examples given.
