Description: Introduction to the properties of nanomaterials and their applications in engineering, technology, chemistry, energy, biology, and medicine. General discussion of nanotechnology, from multidisciplinary research to consumer products, suitable for all levels and specializations. Students will develop the understanding needed to separate the hype form the real in one of the most dynamic and prolific areas of research in the last ten years. Includes demonstrations, student-lead projects, and lab tours. Required for MSNE majors.
