Description: This course will explore the artistic, historical, and philosophical textures of French cultures outside Europe, focusing especially on Africa North and South of the Sahara, the Caribbean, North America, and on the evolution of the concept of "francophonie" since World War II. Recommended Prerequisite(s): FREN 202.
