Description: Survey of history and current state of nuclear and particle physics. The emphasis is on experimental results and how they led to our current understanding of the strong and electroweak interactions. Some recent advances are discussed in detail. Cross-list: PHYS 542. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for PHYS 411 if student has credit for PHYS 542.
