Description: Religion and medicine have long been intertwined in societies around the world, from shamans in Siberia to witch doctors in the Congo to prayer teams in Boston teaching hospitals. This course investigates interactions of these two fields historically and cross-culturally through the analysis of key debates, studies, rituals, and texts. Cross-list: RELI 202, HURC 202.
