Description: For medieval Christians, the heavenly vision was reserved for the elect after death; seeing God while living was theologically impossible. Nevertheless, many had divine experiences, visual or not. This course looks at records of such experiences, exploring how they were negotiated theologically. Cross-list: MDST 351.
