Description: Outside Context: Art, Artists and Audiences Beyond the White Cube concerns the history and practice of making artwork in mass media forms. Contexts that were traditionally the bailiwick of advertising and entertainment, and now more often, a place where artists implement work that engages wider audiences. Combining lectures and practice, students will participate in the development of new artworks in mass media and public forms.
