Description: Remediation principles and application of full-scale remediation technologies for restoration of contaminated soil, groundwater, and surface water. Topics include mass balances and distribution of chemicals in environmental media; development of remediation goals through risk assessment; treatment technology selection criteria and costs; groundwater, soil, and surface water restoration technologies; and regulatory considerations. Graduate students receive additional, more challenging assignments. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for CEVE 520 if student has credit for CEVE 420.
