Description: A survey of French cultures outside Europe and principally in Africa north and south, the Caribbean, and North America, the course will focus on historical, artistic, and philosophical components, paying close attention to the evolution of the concept of "francophonie" since World War II. Recommended Prerequisite(s): FREN 202.
