Description: Independent chemical research at Rice or in other Texas Medical Center groups. To earn credit for research, students spend at least 42 hours doing research per hour of credit over the course of the term, submit a proposal abstract, weekly reports, and a final research paper. Students are strongly advised to secure research advisors and register for the class well in advance of the start of classes. Most students take three hours of credit, but students who have successfully completed at least one semester may sign up for more or fewer hours when appropriate. Repeatable for Credit.
