Description: A survey of the world's music and much more! We will look at patterns of how certain genres of music have migrated and changed through historical and contemporary cultural interactions. What's the connection between Celtic and Country music? What are the roots of the Blues in West Africa? Does Bollywood have anything in common with Classical Persian? You'll find the answers here. This isn't a music theory class, nor is it geared towards Music majors, so no prior knowledge needed!
