Description: A course dedicated, first, to reading closely some of the great poets of the modern period - from Hugo to Baudelaire to Prevert - and, second, to the art of translation as a tool for reflecting on the subtleties of the French language and the special shape of the poetic. Recommended Prerequisite(s): FREN 202.
